These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and I'm Therapist ("we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the I'm Therapist platform and related services (the "Service").
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
I'm Therapist is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform designed exclusively for licensed mental health professionals. The Service provides tools including, but not limited to:
The Service is designed to support, not replace, the professional judgment of qualified mental health practitioners. We reserve the right to modify, expand, or discontinue features of the Service at any time.
Registration: To access the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information. You agree to keep your account information up to date.
Eligibility: The Service is intended for use by licensed or trainee mental health professionals (including psychologists, counsellors, psychotherapists, social workers, and psychiatrists). By creating an account, you confirm that you are a mental health professional or are supervised by one.
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@imtherapist.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
One account per user: Each account is for individual use only. You may not share your account with or transfer it to another person without our prior written consent.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
You remain solely responsible for all clinical decisions made in relation to your clients. The Service is a tool to support your practice — it does not replace professional training, judgment, or ethical obligations.
By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:
We are not responsible for any clinical outcomes, client harm, or professional consequences arising from your use of the Service.
When you enter client information into the Service, you act as the data controller for that information, and we act as a data processor. You are responsible for ensuring:
We will process client data only in accordance with your instructions and our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling, security, and your rights.
AI-generated content is provided as a starting point for clinical thinking only. It is not a clinical assessment, diagnosis, or treatment recommendation. Always apply your professional judgment.
The AI Question Generator and other AI-powered features use large language model technology (currently powered by Anthropic's Claude) to generate suggestions based on the information you provide. By using these features, you acknowledge that:
We make no representation that the AI features are appropriate for every clinical situation or client population. Use your professional judgment accordingly.
Platform ownership: The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and all related intellectual property, is owned by I'm Therapist and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of any part of the Service.
Your content: You retain ownership of all clinical notes, treatment plans, and other content you create using the Service ("User Content"). By submitting User Content to the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, and process that content solely as necessary to provide the Service to you.
Feedback: If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you.
Beta phase: The Service is currently provided free of charge during our beta phase. No payment is required to access any feature during this period.
Future pricing: We intend to introduce paid subscription plans when the Service exits beta. We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of any pricing changes via email and/or in-app notification.
Early adopter pricing: Users who register during the beta phase will be offered preferential pricing when paid plans are introduced. Details will be communicated in advance of the transition.
No automatic charges: We will not charge your payment method without your explicit consent. If and when we introduce paid plans, you will have the opportunity to review and accept the pricing before any charge is made.
By you: You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@imtherapist.com. Please export any data you wish to retain before closing your account, as deletion is permanent.
By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, engaged in conduct that may harm other users or the platform, or if required to do so by law. In cases of suspected fraud or serious misconduct, we may terminate immediately.
Effect of termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I'm Therapist and its directors, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, service interruption, or damages resulting from reliance on the Service.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or, during the beta phase, £100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
No medical advice: The Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Nothing in the Service should be construed as medical or psychological advice. All clinical decisions are the sole responsibility of the qualified professional using the platform.
"As is" basis: The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Availability: We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may carry out maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of scheduled downtime where possible.
Third-party services: The Service integrates with third-party services (including AI providers). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of those third parties.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales for the resolution of any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and/or by displaying a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised.
